you may wanna try to apply for Ph.D. programs in Pharmacology,Pathology,Neurolog
yand Cell Biology, focus your interest in tumor, AIDS, Cardiovascular disease, ,
cause these are very hot area and easy to get fund, and they are also the only a
dvantage medical graduate have over those with biology major 

Present yourself as a medical student who's very interested in basic research,an
d why?  that's the most important thing in our ps.

if you can contact some faculty by email, that's good, try to Tao Ci with some C
hinese faculty, ask for telephone interview. That'll be helpful

Practice your spoken English as much as possible

if without lab experience, try to read some basic research papers, get familiar 
with the lab and terminology, maybe useful
